A case of rape of a girl from Delhi has come to light in McLeodganj, a tourist spot in Dharamshala, Kangra. The girl has alleged that while staying in the hotel, a young man who claimed to be a hotel official forced himself on her.
The police have registered a case and taken the accused into custody. At the same time, the investigation has been furthered after getting the victim medically examined.
According to the information received from the police, the girl from Delhi had come to Himachal with her friends and was staying in a hotel in McLeodganj. On Sunday morning, she was unwell, due to which she did not go out with her friends and stayed in the hotel. During this time, a person, who claimed to be a hotel official, came to the room and committed the rape.
The accused was arrested, police engaged in investigation
As soon as the information of the incident was received, the team of Police Station McLeodganj reached the spot and took immediate action, and arrested the accused. Confirming the case, ASP Kangra Aditi Sharma said that a case of rape has been registered based on the girl’s complaint.
The victim has been medically examined and the police is investigating the case from every angle.
The police have said that further action will be taken on the basis of evidence in this sensitive case. The case has created a sensation in the tourist city.
