Dharamshala: This time in Himachal Pradesh, the Food Supply Department will buy wheat from farmers at the rate of Rs 2425 per quintal. Last year, the department had bought wheat crop at the rate of Rs 2275 per quintal. This time it has been increased by Rs 150.
The department has set up 11 procurement centers in the state to buy crops for the April-June 2025 session of Rabi crop. Farmers will have to apply through the department’s portal to sell the wheat crop and old farmers will have to renew. Registration of farmers to sell the crop has also started. So far 11 farmers have registered.
In Kangra district, the Food Supply Department has set a target of buying four thousand metric tonnes of wheat this time. Last time 12792 quintals of wheat were purchased.
This time the department will buy wheat crops in the state at the rate of Rs 2425 per quintal. For this, farmers will have to register on the department’s portal in advance
