Shimla : The number of respiratory patients in hospitals has started increasing due to the smoke spreading from the forest fires in Himachal Pradesh every day.

Every day 15 to 20 respiratory patients reach Solan Hospital for treatment, on normal days 5-6 patients arrive. There are also such patients whom attendants are bringing to the hospital for treatment in case of emergency. Along with this, about 50 cases of headache are also coming every day, which on normal days is about 10 patients.

Considering the condition of the patients, they have to be admitted to hospitals for treatment. Most of the elderly people are coming to the hospital suffering from breathing problems.

Children are also facing a lot of difficulties in breathing. Respiratory and other patients are reaching not only regional hospitals but also community health centers and primary health centers for treatment.

However, in view of the increasing smoke, the Health Department has also issued an alert in many districts. People have also been requested to wear masks so that they can be protected from smoke.

At the same time, the Health Department claims that if the smoke continues to spread like this, the number of patients will increase in the coming days. Regarding this, the department has asked the officials to gear up.
