Himachal Pradesh: Himachal government has issued transfer orders for 2 IPS late at night. As soon as the model election code of conduct was lifted, the government replaced Hamirpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Padam Chand of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu’s home district Hamirpur. The government has now appointed IAS Padam Chand as Commandant 3rd IRB Battalion Pandoh Mandi.
At the same time, 2015 batch IPS Bhagat Singh, who was handling the additional charge of Commandant 3rd IRB Battalion Pandoh and SP State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau Mandi, has been appointed SP Hamirpur. Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena has issued orders regarding this late night.
Bhagat Negi was given additional charge of SP State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau Mandi on 22 March itself. Now the government has entrusted him with a big responsibility in the Chief Minister’s home district.
There may be transfer orders of some more IAS, IPS, HAS and HPS officers in the state during the next week, because the government was not able to make transfers in the state due to the code of conduct since March 16. The code of conduct was lifted only two days ago. In such a situation, the government will soon issue transfer orders of some officers.
