Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Government announced the release of pension arrears to pensioners and family pensioners. The Himachal Pradesh Government ordered the payment of 50% of the balance arrears. The circular has been issued in this regard.
The notice said, “In continuation to this Department’s Office Memorandum No. Fin(Pen)A(3)-1/2021-Part-II-Loose dated 17-09-2022 and Offce Memorandum No. Fin(Pen)A(3)-1/2021-Part-II dated 13-03-2024 on the subject cited above, the undersigned is directed to say that the Governor, Himachal Pradesh is pleased to order the payment of 50% of the balance arrears (i.e. 22.50% of remaining 45% pension/ family pension arrears) to the pensioners and family pensioners who have attained the age of 75 years and above, in the month of August, 2024. Now, the cumulative arrears released so far after taking into account the present release, shall be 77.50% of the total arrears in respect of pre-2016 pensioners and family pensioners who have attained the age of 75 years and above”
