To manage stray animals in the state’s largest industrial area Baddi Barotiwala Nalagarh, the state government had constructed a cattle sanctuary in Handa Kundi by spending about 4 crore rupees. Although the government claims that the entire industrial area has been freed from stray animals, but the government’s claims are exposed as stray animals are seen roaming on the roads at many places on Baddi Road, Panjhara Road and Ropar Road of Nalagarh, which is exposing the government’s claims.
People have also raised questions on the administration and the government and said that the government spent crores of rupees to construct a cattle sanctuary in Handa Kundi, but the government and administration make big claims of getting rid of stray animals in the entire industrial area Baddi Barotiwala Nalagarh, but the stray animals roaming in the area are exposing these claims.
People say that stray animals still roam on the roads like before, due to which there is a danger of accidents every day. According to the local people, crores of rupees have been spent by the government on the cattle sanctuary, but despite this, hundreds of stray bulls are still roaming on the roads, due to which many people have died and when these stray animals fight among themselves every day, they harm the people coming on the road.
The local people have raised the demand for immediate relief from the stray animals in the area and have warned the local administration that if the stray animals are not relieved soon, they will be forced to launch a big movement, the responsibility of which will be of the local administration.
People say that different Gau Sadans have been built in the name of Gau Mata, but during the time of elections, a lot of politics is done in the name of Gau Mata, but when the elections are over and people win, the issue of Gau Mata also vanishes.
