Shimla: The recruitment process of 6297 pre-primary teachers will start in Himachal Pradesh after May 15. The State Electronics Corporation has received the government’s approval to allocate work to outsourced companies. Himachalis between the ages of 21 and 45 who have secured 50% marks in class XII will be eligible for recruitment.
Those who have done nursery teacher training will get priority in recruitment. The selected teachers will get a monthly remuneration of Rs 10,000. Education Minister Rohit Thakur had directed the State Electronics Corporation to start the recruitment process last month.
The Education Secretary directed the corporation to decide on outsourced companies for recruitment and allocate work. These recruitments will be done through companies registered with the Government of India. The recruitment process has been going on in files since the time of the previous government. Last year, the Congress government had started the recruitment, but the matter was put on hold due to the decision of the Himachal High Court to ban outsourced recruitments.
Now the Supreme Court has stayed the decision of the High Court. The teachers to be recruited in schools with Nursery and KG classes have been given the designation of Early Childhood Care and Education Trainers by the government.
