Naveen Kumar, a brave soldier from the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, has been martyred while on duty in the Drass sector of Kargil. According to reports, he lost his life after being struck by a landslide in the treacherous terrain.
When Naveen was on duty last night, a land-slide suddenly occurred. The soldier died after being hit by it. There is a wave of mourning in the entire area due to this incident. His relatives have started gathering at Naveen’s house.
Naveen (25) was posted in Jammu and Kashmir Rifle. He is a resident of Halun village of Thural Panchayat of Kangra district. Naveen had joined the army as Agniveer. Naveen was not married yet and he has a sister Shivani, who is married. In such a situation, Naveen has left behind his mother, his body will arrive tomorrow.
Notably, Naveen’s father Rajmal has also served the country. He retired from the post of Havildar in 13 Jack Rifle. He died five years ago. Naveen Kumar’s body will reach his native village on Thursday.
BJP MLA Vipin Singh Parmar also shared the information on his social media. He expressed grief over the martyrdom of Naveen Kumar and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
