At the same time, even today, orange alert has been given for heavy rain and snowfall in 7 districts Shimla, Mandi, Kullu, Lahaul Spiti, Kinnaur, Kangra and Chamba. Most snowfall has occurred in Kullu, Chamba and Lahaul Spiti districts.

Following heavy snowfall, educational institutions in Lahaul Spiti district were closed for today and tomorrow. There was heavy snowfall in higher altitude areas and heavy rain in other parts of the state last night.

At the same time, a strong storm also troubled people in most areas of Shimla district in the last 24 hours. But it rained at night. At the same time, there was a snow fall in the higher areas of Shimla during the night.

Rain and snowfall for the next three days
According to Meteorological Center Shimla, even today there may be heavy snowfall in the higher areas of Shimla, Mandi, Kullu, Lahaul Spiti, Kinnaur, Kangra and Chamba districts. There is forecast of good rain in other areas today and tomorrow also. The weather is likely to remain bad in high altitude areas till February 24.
