Himachal: PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh meets Chairman Indian Railway Board

New Delhi: Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh met Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Indian Railway Board Satish Kumar in New Delhi today. He apprised the Chief Executive Officer about the delay in the construction of the flyover at Himachal Pradesh Vidhansabha Junction and bridge along with Victory Tunnel due to delay in.

New Delhi: Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh met Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Indian Railway Board Satish Kumar in New Delhi today. He apprised the Chief Executive Officer about the delay in the construction of the flyover at Himachal Pradesh Vidhansabha Junction and bridge along with Victory Tunnel due to delay in getting approval from Northern Railway.

He urged the Chief Executive Officer to give early approval in this regard. He said that these are the main roads of the city and play an important role in maintaining smooth traffic in Shimla. In view of the increasing influx of tourists, it is very important to work in this direction.

The Public Works Minister also discussed about the expansion of railway network in the state, especially the Bhanupali-Bilaspur railway line.

On the request of the Public Works Minister, Satish Kumar directed the concerned officials to start the work immediately and resolve the related obstacles.
The Chief Executive Officer said that the work of the Bhanupali-Bilaspur railway line is in progress. He said that cooperation is expected from the state government to ensure uninterrupted work of the railway line.

Vikramaditya Singh thanked the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for directing him to start the work that was pending since April. He said that the construction work being carried out by the Public Works Department under the Smart City project was being hampered due to lack of timely approval.
