After the formation of government at the Centre, the process of talks between the Center and Himachal Pradesh has started once again. This conversation has been initiated by PWD and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh. Vikramaditya Singh is in Delhi where he held a meeting with Union Ministers.
He first met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. During this, he called for speedy completion of the projects going on in Himachal before the Lok Sabha elections. Other projects including Bharat Setu and Central Road Infrastructure Fund were discussed between the two leaders.
Work was going on on these projects in Himachal before the Lok Sabha elections, but all activities had stopped after the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct.
Vikramaditya Singh had also revealed this during a conversation with the media in the Secretariat recently. He has said that the Lok Sabha elections are over and now there is a need to work in coordination with the central government for the development of the state.
During this visit of Vikramaditya Singh, there is also a possibility of meeting with Union Urban Development Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. During his meeting with him, Vikramaditya can discuss the plan for development of the cities of the state.
Vikramaditya wants to bring the newly formed Municipal Corporation of Himachal under the ambit of the future Smart City project so that it can be developed.
