Heavy rains are continuing in Himachal Pradesh. A 5-storey house collapsed this morning in Bhattakufar, a suburb of Shimla.

Shimla, June 30: Heavy rains are continuing in Himachal Pradesh. A 5-storey house collapsed this morning in Bhattakufar, a suburb of Shimla. It is being said that the foundation of the house was shaken due to the cutting for the four-lane.

Due to this, the house was evacuated at night itself. There was no loss of life. This house is said to be of a retired SDO. Meanwhile, in Sujanpur of Hamirpur, three vehicles were damaged due to the fall of a big tree this morning.

Red alert for heavy rain in 4 districts

The weather department has issued a red alert for heavy rain in 4 districts today. In view of this, all schools in Mandi, Kangra and Sirmaur districts have been closed today. Schools in Manali and Banjar divisions of Kullu district have also been closed.

Heavy rain has been falling in most parts of the state since 11.30 pm last night. Mandi recorded the highest rainfall of 119 mm last night. Heavy rain is falling in other areas as well.

Red alert in these districts

Meteorological Centre Shimla has issued a red alert in Kangra, Mandi, Solan and Sirmaur districts. Heavy rain has been forecast in Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Shimla, Chamba and Kullu districts.

Flash flood warning in 7 districts

The Meteorological Department has issued a fresh bulletin this morning and issued a flash flood alert in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur and Solan districts. Flash floods, waterlogging and landslides may occur after heavy rains in these districts. In view of this, people and tourists have been advised not to go to rivers, drains, landslide prone areas and avoid unnecessary travel.

Yellow alert on 1st and 2nd July

A yellow alert has been issued for heavy rains in Mandi, Kangra and Kullu districts on July 1. Heavy rains are expected in Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Chamba, Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, Mandi, Kangra and Kullu districts on July 2.

7 killed, 3 missing due to cloudburst in Kullu-Dharamshala

There was heavy destruction in 4 places in Kullu last Wednesday after cloudburst. In Hornagad, 3 people were swept away along with their houses. So far, the body of 1 of them has been recovered, 2 are still missing. On the other hand, more than 7 workers were swept away after cloudburst in Khaniyara of Dharamshala. The bodies of 6 of them have been recovered. Here too, one worker is missing.

39 people died this monsoon season

39 people have died in this monsoon season from 20 June to 29 June. Out of these, 19 people have died in road accidents. 7 died due to flash floods, 6 due to drowning, 1 due to snake bite, 2 due to electric shock, 3 due to falling from high hills and 1 due to other reasons.

129 roads and 612 electricity transformers are down

Heavy rains have caused landslides in many places in the last 24 hours. Due to this, many houses have come under threat. 129 roads across the state have been closed for vehicular movement. Similarly, 612 electricity transformers have also stopped working.

Mandi division has the maximum number of 340 transformers, Lahaul Spiti division has 140 transformers, Kasauli-Parwanoo has 92, Hamirpur has 33 and Kullu division has 7 transformers lying non-functional.
