Himachal soldier martyred in Leh, CM Sukhu expresses grief over his demise

A soldier from Nagrota Bagwan assembly constituency in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh has attained martyrdom in Leh.

Shimla : A soldier from Nagrota Bagwan assembly constituency in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh has attained martyrdom in Leh. The health of 24-year-old soldier Happy Singh, resident of Lily village, had deteriorated due to brain hemorrhage in the glacier three days ago. The soldier died on Monday morning even before being admitted to the hospital.

As soon as the news of the martyrdom of the soldier was received, a mountain of sorrow fell on the family. A wave of mourning has spread in the village. Father Vineet Kumar and mother Shyama Devi are in bad condition due to crying.

It is being told that the soldiers had been serving in the army for four years and it had been only six months since they went to the glacier. Since the weather is bad in Leh. Therefore, a lot of difficulties are being faced in bringing back the dead body of the soldier. Shaheed has a younger sister Kajal. Happy was recruited in 26 Punjab on March 8, 2020.

The martyred soldier was not even married and was the only son of the family. The family was dreaming of their son’s marriage but before that he was martyred. The martyr’s parents were asked to come to Chandigarh. According to the official, as soon as the weather improves, Happy’s mortal remains will be taken to his home by plane.

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has expressed grief over the demise of Happy Singh, who was serving in the 26th Punjab Regiment of the Indian Army. He expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to God to give the family members the courage to bear this irreparable loss.
