A statue of late Virbhadra Singh, who was the Chief Minister of the state six times, will be installed on the historic Ridge of Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla. This statue is being installed next to the statue of the Himachal maker Dr. Yashwant Parmar in Daulat Singh Park. It will be unveiled on 23 June on Virbhadra Singh’s birth anniversary.
For this, the Raja Virbhadra Singh Foundation will bear all the expenses. No help will be taken from the government. Public Works Minister and Trust Chairman Vikramaditya Singh gave this information in a press conference in Shimla on Saturday.
He said that a new trust had been registered in the name of Raja Virbhadra Singh Foundation. Vikramaditya Singh said that at present, four people are included in this trust to complete the paperwork. But in the coming time more people will also be included in it. He said that this trust will work above party politics. Because Virbhadra Singh used to work above party politics and has been the Chief Minister of the state 6 times. Apart from Congress-BJP, people from all sections will be able to join it.
The main purpose of forming Vikramaditya Singh Trust is to provide services to people in remote areas. Experts from different fields will be included in it to provide means of health, education and employment. While thanking Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, he said that CM Sukhu assured all possible help. But people’s emotions are attached to Virbhadra Singh, people are ready to help. In such a situation, the foundation has clarified that it will bear all the expenses itself and will not take any help from the government.
