Shimla, May 9: In view of the tension between India and Pakistan, Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation has stopped all buses going to Pathankot, Amritsar, Jalandhar and Jammu. Around 20 to 25 buses ply on these routes from Himachal Pradesh. The corporation has decided to suspend the bus routes in view of the increasing tension. This ban has been imposed on night routes for the time being.
The buses going to Katra for the darshan of Mata Vaishno Devi have also been called back mid-way. After this decision of the corporation, now HRTC buses will go only till Jesur. Passengers have been advised to plan their journey accordingly. About 20 to 25 buses of Himachal ply on these routes, which have been stopped now.

HRTC MD Nipun Jindal has confirmed this. He said that this step has been taken for the safety of passengers in view of the current situation in the area. Passengers will be informed soon about the resumption of bus services.
