Shimla: A case of kidnapping of a taxi driver has come to light in Himachal Pradesh. Two tourists from Ludhiana, Punjab have been accused of kidnapping.
The missing driver’s son Desraj Ranaut has lodged a kidnapping case in Shimla’s Sadar police station after his father Hari Krishna Ranaut went missing. In this, Desraj has expressed suspicion of his father’s kidnapping.
Shimla police has registered an FIR in this regard and sent it to Barmana police station in Bilaspur, because Hari Krishna Ranaut is missing from places around Barmana. Bilaspur police has formed an SIT to search for the missing Hari Krishna Rannot and has intensified the investigation.
According to the complaint given to the police, Desraj Ranaut told that on June 24, his father had gone from Shimla to Manali with two tourists from Punjab-Ludhiana, Gurmeet Singh and Jaspal Karan Singh. On 25 June, he was returning from Manali with both the tourists in his Alto car number HP-01-A 5150.
Son spoke to Hari Krishna for the last time on 25 June
At 8:20 pm, son Desraj spoke to his father and the father told him that he was reaching Barmana and would return to Shimla late at night. When the son called his father again at around 11:15 pm, his phone was switched off.
Search for Hari Krishna continues in Barmana for three days
The place where the last location of the phone came, Hari Krishna’s family and police have been searching for the last three days. But no clue has been found so far. However, his car has been traced in Ludhiana. It is being told that blood stains have also been found in the car.
Police team reached Ludhiana
Meanwhile, the Barmana police team has reached Ludhiana to arrest the two tourists. But both are still absconding. Hari Krishna Ranaut drives a taxi in Shimla. He often brings tourists on the Shimla-Manali route.
