Himachal: Tipper falls into 100-meter deep gorge in Mandi, driver dead

In Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi, a tipper fell into a 100-meter deep gorge, killing the tipper driver. The accident took place late at night at Brahm Fall in Dharmpur. The tipper’s number was HP86-8959, which went out of control and fell about 100 meters below the road.

Tipper driver Jeevan Kumar (40) died on the spot in the accident. He was a resident of the village Chowki (Kalonga), Post Office Taur Jajar Tehsil Dharmpur. The injured driver was taken to Community Health Center Dharmpur, where doctors declared him dead.

SP Mandi Sakshi Verma said that a case has been registered at Police Station Dharmpur and an investigation is going on. The deceased Jeevan Kumar is survived by his wife and a 6-month-old child. There is a wave of mourning in the entire village due to the news of the accident.
