Himachal Weather: Alert of heavy snowfall in 3 districts tomorrow; Warning of thunderstorm-lightning

Shimla: The weather in Himachal Pradesh is going to change from today. The weather department has predicted that the Western Disturbance of the state is becoming active from today. Due to which there is a possibility of continuous rain and snowfall in many parts of Himachal Pradesh for the next five days.

According to IMD, Western Disturbance (WB) will be active in the state from March 9. Due to which there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at different places in Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur and higher areas of Chamba, Kangra and Kullu districts. At the same time, light to moderate rain and snowfall is also expected in the low and middle mountain areas of the state on March 10 and 11.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain and snowfall in Chamba, Kangra, Lahaul-Spiti districts of the state on March 10. There is an alert for thunderstorms and lightning in Kullu and Mandi.

Light to moderate rain and snowfall is expected at many places in the state from 12 to 14 March. The minimum temperature is likely to gradually increase by 2-3 degrees Celsius during the next 2-3 days. While the maximum temperature is likely to gradually increase by 3-5 degrees Celsius during the next 24 hours. After that, the maximum temperature is likely to fall by 2-3 degrees Celsius during the next 3-4 days.

The minimum temperature was recorded at Shimla 7.4, Sundernagar 7.0, Bhuntar 5.5, Kalpa -0.4, Dharamsala 5.1, Una 5.9, Nahan 11.5, Keylong -6.9, Palampur 6.0, Solan 7.4, Manali 2.1, Kangra 8.8, Mandi 8.0, Bilaspur 7.1, Chamba 7.5, Dalhousie 7.9, Kukumseri -6.9, Jubbarhatti 8.5, Bharmour 4.7, Seubagh 2.8, Dhaula Kuan 8.5, Barthin 6.6, Sarahan 5.5 and Tabo at -5.5 degrees Celsius.
