Himachal Weather: Amid temperature rise IMD issues rain and snowfall alert

The weather will be bad in the higher regions of Himachal Pradesh from today. There is a forecast of light rain and snowfall for two days today and tomorrow in the higher regions of Chamba, Kangra, Kinnaur, Lahaul Spiti and Mandi districts. The weather will remain clear in other areas of the state.

According to the Meteorological Department, Western (WD) will be more active on January 31 and February 1. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in most parts of the state. A warning of thunderstorms has also been issued during these two days. The weather will remain bad only in the higher regions on February 2 and 3.

There has been a huge jump in temperature before the rain and snowfall. The maximum temperature of the state has become 4.4 degrees more than normal. There are many cities where the maximum temperature has become 8 degrees more than normal.

The maximum temperature of Kalpa has become 13.4 degrees Celsius with 8.3 degrees more than normal. Shimla’s temperature was also recorded at 20 degrees Celsius after a jump of 8.2 degrees.

Una’s temperature also rose 5.9 degrees to 27.6 degrees compared to normal. This is the highest temperature of this season. Bilaspur’s temperature rose 5.7 degrees to 24.6 degrees, Manali’s temperature rose 5.0 degrees to 15.2 degrees, Sundarnagar’s temperature rose 5.8 degrees to 24.6 degrees Celsius.

Temperatures are rising due to no rain or snowfall. The situation is such that Shimla’s minimum temperature rose 6 degrees to 9.6 degrees Celsius.

Compared to Shimla, plains are experiencing cold wave. Due to this, Una’s temperature fell by 0.6 degrees, Hamirpur’s by 1.3 degrees, Mandi’s by 2.3 degrees and Bilaspur’s temperature fell by 2.0 degrees.
