Shimla : The heat has started making people sweat in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh too. The temperature of 9 cities of the state has crossed 40 degrees Celsius. Due to this, the situation in the plains has become quite bad. Even today, except Chamba, Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti districts, there is a yellow alert of heat in all the other 9 districts.
The temperature of Una has reached 45 degrees Celsius. The same is the condition in the lower areas of Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Mandi, Sirmaur and Solan districts. The temperature of many cities of the state has increased by 7 degrees from normal. The temperature of Hamirpur has increased the most by 6.8 degrees compared to normal.
Similarly, the temperature in Mandi is 6.7 degrees, Shimla 4.6 degrees, Sundernagar 5.6 degrees, Bhuntar 5.4 degrees, Kalpa 4.1 degrees, Una 5.9 degrees and Nahan is 5 degrees more than normal.
Chances of rain in the entire state on June 1
It is a matter of some relief that Western Disturbance (WD) is becoming active from today. According to the Meteorological Department, due to WD becoming active, light rain may occur in high altitude areas today. Next tomorrow i.e. on 30 and 31 May, there may be rain in high and medium altitude areas as well.
In Himachal, there is a forecast of rain in most parts of the state on June 1. In such a situation, only after rain, coolness can return to the scorching mountains.

In view of the heat wave warning, the Meteorological Department has advised the local people as well as the tourists visiting the mountains to be cautious. Stay safe during scorching heat. Tourists and residents of Himachal do not come out in direct sunlight.
