Himachal’s volleyball team trial to be held tomorrow at Indira Gandhi Sports Complex

Shimla: Trials to select Himachal Pradesh’s national volleyball team (men’s category) will be held tomorrow (Sunday) at Indira Gandhi Sports Complex. The selection of the new team will be done through videography so that complete transparency can be maintained. Observers are being deployed by the state’s sports department and National Volleyball Association for the trials.

Let us tell you that on December 26, trials were also held for the national team at Indira Gandhi Sports Complex in Shimla. In this, the players alleged large-scale rigging. After the matter came to the media, the Sports Department found irregularities in the preliminary investigation and cancelled the trials.

Additional Director of Sports Department Hitesh Azad said that the trials will be conducted with complete transparency. It will be videographed. He appealed to the players to reach the sports complex on time in the morning. He said that observers are being deployed by the State’s Olympic Association.

Young player Udit protested against this by making a video. After this, 8 to 10 players approached Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu with a complaint. After the matter came to the media, the Sports Department decided to conduct the trials again.
