Shimla: Himachal Pradesh School Education Board will declare the annual result of class 10th on Thursday at 2:00 pm. School Education Board Secretary Dr. Major Vishal Sharma said that the 10th class examinations were held in March, in which about 95,000 students appeared for the examination across the state. The annual examinations of class 10 in the state started from March 4 except the Lahaul-Spiti and Pangi area. During this, the Education Board had set up about 2,300 examination centers. For the first time, OMR sheet was used in the board examination, while the board management also made arrangements for evaluation of answer sheets with stepwise marking for the first time.
In 2024, 91,130 students of class 10th appeared in the examination. 67988 students have passed. A total of 92 students were included in the top ten merit list. Three students were at the third position. Among the toppers, 22 were from government and 70 from private schools. Out of 92 girls, 71 were in the first 10 positions. The result of the examination was 74.61 percent.
The date sheet of re-appear examinations to be held in the May-June 2025 session for the students of classes 5th and 8th of schools having summer vacations has been released by the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board. Class V examinations will run from 29 to 30 May and Class VIII examinations will run from 26 to 4 June.
All examinations will run in a single session from 9:45 am to 1:00 pm. The board will conduct the examination of Environmental Education subject for class V on 26 May. English examination will be conducted on 27 May, Hindi on 28 May and Mathematics on 30 May. Class VIII examinations will be held on 26 May for Hindi, 27 May for Mathematics, English on 28 May, Science on 30 May, Social Science on 31 May and Sanskrit on 2 June. On June 3, the exams for Arts, Home Science, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Punjabi and Urdu will be conducted and on June 4, the exams for Himachal Folk Culture and Yoga will be conducted. School Education Board Secretary Dr. Major Vishal Sharma said that the board has released the date sheet for the re-appear exams to be held in summer schools, the information of which has been made available on the board’s website.
