Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has extended the application date for the Police Constable Recruitment Exam till 12th November. This has brought relief to thousands of aspirants who were unable to apply due to the HPPSC website not working. HPPSC has issued orders to extend the application date on Friday.
The state government is actually going to recruit 1088 constables. These include 708 constable (male) posts and 380 constable (female) posts. The Public Service Commission has sought applications from interested people for these posts. The last date of application was fixed as 31 October.
But during the last five-six days, the commission’s official website www.hppsc.hp.gov.in was not working properly. Due to this technical issue, thousands of youth were not able to apply for it. Due to this, the candidates as well as their parents were upset and were demanding to extend the application date.
So now interested candidates can apply till November 12. The website will close at midnight on November 12. HPPSC has included 708 posts for constable (male) and 380 posts for constable (female).
