Kullu: HRTC bus service will start on the longest route in the country and the world. After nine months of gap bus service will start. It will provide the best travel facilities to tourists from the country and the world during the tourist season. HRTC Corporation Management Keylong has got permission to run the bus from the HRTC Directorate. The timetable of the bus has also been prepared. Now tourists from Delhi will reach Leh by traveling in HRTC bus, they will get a direct bus from Delhi to Leh and a bus from Leh to Delhi.
Bus will be flagged off from Keylong on June 11 it is the longest route in the country and the world. At the same time, the passengers traveling on this route on the first day will be welcomed and honored as per tradition.
HDO said that after the BRO restores the route for traffic on both sides, the corporation management is going to run the bus. The Leh-Delhi bus was closed in September 2023, now the route will be restored after nine months.
Corporation official Umesh Sharma, who is handling the work of regional manager of HRTC Keylong depot, said that on Tuesday, June 11, the bus service will be started on the longest route from Keylong. On the first day, the bus will run from Keylong to Leh.
According to the information of the corporation management, the departure time of this bus service from Delhi has also been changed for the convenience of the passengers. This bus will no longer halt at Keylong overnight. According to the new time table, now this bus will leave from Delhi at 12:15 pm and from Chandigarh at 6:10 pm and will reach Keylong by 5:00 am. It will leave for Leh from Keylong at 5:30 am.
You will be able to travel 1026 km from Leh to Delhi in just 30 hours for Rs 1740. After the construction of Atal Tunnel, the journey from Delhi to Leh now takes 30 hours instead of 36. This bus service passing through snow-clad mountains has a different thrill. On the Delhi-Leh route, tourists visit the 16,500 ft high Baralacha Pass, 15,547 ft high Naku La Pass, 13,480 ft high Tanglangla Pass and 16,616 ft high Lachungla Pass.
