HRTC buses vandalization: Review meeting on April 11

The corporation management had said that the operation of buses would start after ensuring the safety of the buses and the drivers-conductors.

A decision will be taken soon on restoring 20 routes with night halts in Punjab. A decision will be taken on starting the bus service after discussing the current circumstances in the review meeting to be held on April 11 under the chairmanship of the Corporation Managing Director.

On the night of March 21, buses parked for night halt in Amritsar were vandalized, and Khalistan was written with spray paint. After this, the corporation stopped bus service on all 20 routes with night halts in Punjab.

Around 200 HRTC buses operate daily through Punjab. After the Amritsar incident, there has been no incident of vandalism of HRTC buses in Punjab. The corporation management had said that the operation of buses would start after ensuring the safety of the buses and the drivers-conductors.
