Shimla: Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) will provide on-demand special bus service for the festival season. The corporation has planned to provide special bus service for passengers on Dussehra, Diwali, Bhaiyadooj as well as New Year. For this, the demand is sent by the corporation’s RM located in Delhi and Chandigarh.
It is worth noting that many people of Kangra district work in other states including industrial areas of the state. Many people come to their homes on Dussehra, Diwali, Bhaiyadooj and New Year, for which they prefer to travel in HRTC and get online booking done. Due to online booking, the corporation officials get to know ‘how many people want to come from where’, and accordingly special buses are sent to different places.
Not only this, on the basis of the demand received by the divisional office, instructions are issued to the RM of the concerned bus depot regarding how many buses should be sent. As soon as the bus station in-charge and RM inform that there are more passengers from Baddi or Chandigarh, they are asked to send buses accordingly.
HRTC runs special buses for Dussehra and Deepawali during the festival season. For this, demand is made by the corporation’s RM located in Delhi and Chandigarh. On that basis, the RM of the bus depot located in the district and the bus station in-charge are instructed to send buses on different routes.
