Bilaspur: Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur on Friday said he will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Hamirpur parliamentary constituency, from where he has won the last four elections.
Speaking to media persons, he said that the talk of him moving to another constituency is false as the people of Hamirpur have given him “a lot of love”. There are reports that Thakur may contest elections from Kangra or Chandigarh.
Thakur said that since he became MP, Bilaspur has been benefited from Hydro Engineering College, Kiratpur-Manali four-lane road, Bhanupali-Bilaspur railway line and other central schemes worth thousands of crores of rupees. He said that BJP will once again come to power in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and it will win more seats than in the 2019 elections.
