Shimla: In Himachal Pradesh, Congress has geared up to win the assembly by-elections on three seats after the Lok Sabha polls. The party has appointed an MLA from Jawali of Kangra district and Agriculture Minister Chaudhary Chandra Kumar in charge to win the Dehra assembly seat.
MLAs from Jubbal Kotkhai and Education Minister Rohit Thakur have been appointed in charge of winning the Nalagarh assembly seat in Solan district, and MLAs from Ghumarvi and Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani have been appointed in charge of winning the Hamirpur assembly seat.
State Congress Committee General Secretary Rajneesh Kimta said that Congress is fully prepared for the upcoming assembly by-elections. The party will face the money power with unity.
He said that Congress has won four seats in the recent assembly by-elections, which is proof that the people of Himachal Pradesh are happy with the policies, programs, and leadership of the Congress government.
The Election Department will issue notification for by-elections on all three assembly seats in the state tomorrow, and nominations can be filed until June 21. Voting will be held simultaneously in all three seats on July 10, and the results will be declared on July 13.
Congress has started making strategies to win these elections. In this connection, ministers have been made in charge of all three seats.
