Shimla: ITBP force has traced the body of an American citizen missing for four days in Lahaul Spiti, a tribal district of Himachal Pradesh. An attempt will be made to bring the body of the missing American paraglider to Kazakhstan today. Since morning, the ITBP, local police, and SDRF team have been trying to retrieve the body by conducting a joint operation.
The body of 31-year-old American paraglider Trevor Boxtahler has been seen in a ravine in the middle of Tashigang. According to the police, Trevor went missing during his trip to Spiti Valley last Thursday. After this, a team was formed to find the missing Trevor. This team conducted a search operation in different areas of Kaza. But until Saturday, no trace of him could be found.
Although the motorcycle hired by Trevor was found in a deserted area near Tashigang, no information about Trevor was found. After this, an attempt was made to search with a drone with the help of the Army’s Dogra Regiment. During this, a parachute stuck in a deep ravine in the middle of Tashigang was identified.
An attempt will be made to retrieve the body from the ravine today because the body could not be retrieved last evening due to the hilly and dangerous path. After retrieving the body, a post-mortem will be conducted. After this, the body of the foreign-origin paraglider will be handed over to the American Embassy. The cause of death may be revealed after the post-mortem report comes.
