Shimla: Union Health Minister and National President of Bharatiya Janata Party Jagat Prakash Nadda will visit Naina Devi temple today. This visit of Nadda is considered important in many ways, because the new BJP president is to be crowned in Himachal soon. Eight to nine contenders are busy lobbying for this. However, the party high command has to decide this. Nadda is currently the national president. Therefore, all the contenders are getting closer to Nadda.
BJP President Rajiv Bindal also reached Bilaspur last evening to welcome Nadda. He has been meeting Nadda in Delhi for several days. Apart from Bindal, other contenders have also met Nadda in Delhi. Similarly, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the past.
Anurag’s name is also in discussion
There is also a discussion in political circles that the party can also hand over the command of Himachal BJP President to Hamirpur MP and former Union Minister Anurag Thakur. However, Anurag Thakur missed becoming a minister at the center this time. But the way he attacked the opposition in the Parliament and led the campaign in the Delhi Assembly elections, there are discussions about Anurag Thakur also becoming the Himachal BJP President.
In such a situation, JP Nadda’s visit to Himachal is considered important regarding the coronation of the president. However, Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh will announce the new president in the coming days.
