Kangra: The entire Northern India has been scorched by the torrid heat. Himachal is also not untouched by this, due to which the timing of schools in has been changed.
All schools will now open at 7.30 am in Kangra district, while they will be closed at 1 pm. In this regard orders have been issued by DC Kangra.
Similarly, in Bilaspur district too, schools will now be open at 8 am, while they will be closed at 2 pm.
Deputy Commissioner Bilaspur Abid Hussain Sadiq has issued this notification. From 21st May the timing of schools will come into effect. In DAV School Bilaspur, classes from 3rd to 12th will be held at 8 am, while classes from Nursery to 2nd will be held at 9 am. Children from nursery to fourth class will be dismissed at 12.30 pm, while children from class five to 12th will be dismissed at 1.30 pm.
The Himachal Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heat wave at different places in Kangra, Bilaspur, Una, Hamirpur, Solan, Sirmaur, and Shimla for the next 4 to 5 days.
