Rampur: Kaza National Highway-505 of Lahaul Spiti, a tribal district of Himachal, has been closed to traffic for 17 hours. The road has suffered a lot due to floods in 6 places near Murang of Kaza and due to increased water in the drain. In such a situation, the movement of vehicles has stopped from here. Therefore, the vehicles of the people travelling on this route have been sent back.
After the information of the flood, the employees of New India Company started the work of restoring the road by sending machines, labourers, and soldiers to the spot to restore the road. At the same time, the administration has stopped the movement of vehicles on NH-505 from both sides, so that no untoward incident happens.
It is worth noting that on Saturday evening, Murang of Kaza received heavy rain. Due to this, the Murang drain got flooded. The labourers working on NH-505 saved their lives by running away. But the JCB machine and tractor got buried under the flood. Thankfully, no accident occurred. After which NH-505 was closed due to flooding in many drains. At night, the employees of New India Company and BRO reached the spot as soon as they got the information. The work of restoring this route has been done since night. The BRO has opened the closed NH-505 from 4 places till now.
Due to flooding in Murang drain at night, tourists coming in more than 14 vehicles got stuck. The employees of New India Company on NH-505 sheltered them in their shed and fed them.
