Shimla: The district administration has taken strict steps to strengthen the drug-free India campaign in Kinnaur. For this, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Amit Kumar Sharma made important announcements in the district level meeting. The intelligence system of the Himachal Pradesh government will now identify drug dealers in every panchayat.
Anti-drug campaign is being run in every village of Kinnaur. The administration is keeping a close watch on drug dealers. Provision has also been made to confiscate the property earned from drugs. People can give confidential information about drug dealers on Manas portal 1933. Special action will be taken against those selling drugs within 100 yards of hospitals and educational institutions.
Helpline started for de-addiction
14446 helpline has been started for de-addiction. Youth can take counselling here. The administration has stressed on better coordination with police, health, education department and spiritual organisations. Superintendent of Police Abhishek Shekhar, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sonam Negi, education department officials and representatives of other departments were present in the meeting.
