Kullu : The accused of murdering woman in a hotel was caught due to a stain on his shirt. Police solved the mystery of blind murder in just three hours.
Call details also proved helpful to the police. The young man and the girl were staying in room number 302. The case has also been registered under section 302 of IPC.
Police have not yet disclosed much information about this case. Preliminary investigation has revealed that both of them were friends from four years.
When the bag was opened on Wednesday after the youth absconded, the dead body of the girl was found in it. The Aadhaar card of the deceased girl was registered in the hotel but there was no identity of the young man.
Due to lack of CCTV, no record of it could be found. Catching absconding accused Vinod was like shooting an arrow in the dark night. Manali police launched a well-planned operation to catch him. DSP KD Sharma and police station in-charge Mukesh Rathore themselves went out in search of him.
Neither his name nor appearance was known. The only clue found was that there was a yellow food stain on his white shirt. Phone call details were also traced. No trace of him could be found due to the blockades put up at various places.
When an HRTC bus was stopped at Jheedi, he was caught on the basis of a stain on his shirt. The taxi driver who took him on Sissu tour identified him. SP Kullu Gokul Chandran said that the police has arrested the accused. He is under interrogation.

The young man and the girl had come to Manali on 13 May. Both stayed in a private hotel located on Gompa Road. Both of them took room number 302. After the incident, a case was registered under section 302 of IPC. It is being ascertained when and why the youth murdered her.
