Shimla: Last night, a red alert was issued for heavy rain, hailstorm and storm in Himachal. But this warning of the weather department proved ineffective. At the same time, fresh and light snowfall has occurred at night on the higher peaks of Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti district. This has made the weather cool even in April.
There was light drizzle in Shimla this morning. According to the weather department, there may be light drizzle at some places in the higher regions of the four districts of the state, Chamba, Kangra, Kinnaur, Kullu and Lahaul Spiti. The weather will become clear in other areas from today.
In other places, the weather will start clearing after 9 am. On the other hand, heavy rain occurred in many areas of the state on Sunday afternoon. Crops have also suffered heavy damage due to hailstorm at many places. A drop in temperature has been recorded after rain, hailstorm and snowfall.
A sharp drop in temperature
The average maximum temperature of the state has dropped by 3.8 degrees Celsius in just 24 hours. In many cities, it has dropped by up to 9 degrees. Similarly, the maximum temperature of the state has dropped by -2.1 degrees from normal.
Bharmour’s temperature dropped by 8.6 degrees in 24 hours
The maximum temperature of Bharmour in Chamba dropped to 13.3 degrees after a drop of 8.6 degrees in 24 hours. The temperature of Rekong Peon dropped to 15.6 degrees after a drop of 5.0 degrees and the maximum temperature of Seobag dropped to 18.1 degrees after a drop of 7.9 degrees in a single day.
The temperature will start rising from today
The temperature of most cities in the state has dropped after hailstorm and snowfall. This has made the weather pleasant in the state. After the weather clears up today, the temperature will start rising. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature will rise by 5 to 7 degrees in the next three to four days.
