Shimla: A living example of how aware the Himachal government is about higher education can be seen in the cluster university building at a cost of crores in Sundarnagar. During the previous BJP government, multi-story buildings were constructed in various colleges of Mandi district under the cluster university after spending crores of rupees. Now all these buildings are gathering dust. A similar building is located in the MLSM College of Sundarnagar.
The building was built by spending Rs. 10 crores. But these days, instead of classrooms, this building has become a store for the exam centre. Whereas, apart from classrooms, many labs in this building are not being used. The situation is such that even the governments have become silent after playing politics because the previous government had claimed its development under the cluster university.
