local people had applied in the district court to become a party in this case during the hearing on November 11.

Shimla: A hearing was held in the district court today on the petition seeking stay on the orders of the Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner to demolish the Sanjauli Mosque in Himachal’s capital Shimla. The court has rejected the application of the local resident to become a party in this case. Now the decision on the maintainability of the petition of All Himachal Muslim Welfare Society will be taken on Monday.

In fact, the local people had applied in the district court to become a party in this case during the hearing on November 11.

Let us tell you that the head of the All Himachal Muslim Welfare Society, Nazakat Ali, challenged the orders of the Municipal Corporation Commissioner of October 5 in the district court. It was said in this that the order of the MC Commissioner Court is defunct. It was argued in the petition that the commissioner had given this decision on the basis of the affidavit given by the Sanjauli Mosque Committee.

He claimed that the Sanjauli Mosque Committee is not registered. In such a situation, the affidavit given by its president Mohammad Latif is not correct. Nazakat Ali claims that he had given money to build the mosque. Therefore, he is also the aggrieved party. They should be heard and a stay should be given on the decision to demolish three floors of the mosque.
