Himachal : Lok Sabha elections are ahead, people from every corner of the country wants to vote, so the Election Commsission have made some ease for everyone. The voting process for Lok Sabha elections in Himachal will start from Tuesday 21st May.
Home voting is being provided to three types of voters. This includes senior citizens above 85 years of age, disabled voters and employees deployed on essential services.
Chief Electoral Officer Manish Garg said that for the convenience of voters above 85 years of age and with more than 40 percent disability, the Election Commission of India has provided the facility of home voting in the Lok Sabha elections-2024.
Additionally, the employees deployed on essential services will have the facility to vote through the Postal Voting Center set up at the Home RO/ARO office.
In these elections the age group above 85 years, filled Form 12-D has been received. Out of total 57,775 disabled voters, forms of 13,554 voters were received by the Election Department and till now forms of 9394 have been accepted.
On the day of polling, 2995 Forms 12-D have been received from employees deployed on essential services and 2010 forms have been accepted. For home voting, the voting facility will be conducted at the homes of eligible voters from 21st to 29th May.
Employees deployed on essential services will be able to vote on any one of the three notified days at the PVC established in their home assembly constituency where they are voters.
