Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla attended the National Workers Sangam ceremony of Ganga Samagra organized in Gorakhpur today as the chief guest.
On this occasion, the Governor said that Mother Ganga is not just a flow of water for thousands of years but the nectar of Ganga is the foundation stone of Indian culture and philosophy. Ganga water is Brahmadravya and it is the formless form of God. Ganga is the name of the soul of India. It is the lifeline and identity of Indians.
The Governor said that Mother Ganga, the purifier of all the well-being of the sinful ones, is the embodiment of divine power on this earth. On festivals, innumerable devotees make pilgrimage to it and with many devotion, feelings and wishes, they reach near it and all their wishes are fulfilled by Mother Ganga.
The Governor said, ‘Today there is a need for all the people of the society to be alert to maintain the continuity and purity of the Ganga. Besides, we can also express our faith by supporting and encouraging the organizations which are moving in this direction. Let us all strive to transform Mother Ganga into a beautiful form.
