Government teacher suspends in Himachal: Accused of sexually harassing students

Four minor girl students have made serious allegations of molestation against the teacher.

Mandi: In Mandi district of Himachal, the education department has suspended head teacher (HT) Harish, accused of molesting four female students in a government primary school of Jogindernagar . Elementary Education Deputy Director Mandi issued orders regarding this on Tuesday. The headquarters of the suspended teacher has been fixed as Block Elementary Education Office Gopalpur Bhamala.

In this case, the police have already registered a case under the POCSO Act. The accused is currently in judicial custody. After three days of police remand, the accused was sent to judicial custody for 14 days yesterday.

Meanwhile, the department will also investigate this case at its level.

A case has been registered at the Ladbhadol police station in Jogindernagar regarding this. The police will now take the accused’s mobile and take the investigation forward. At the same time, the police have already recorded the statements of the victim students in front of the judge in this case.

The surprising thing is that the girls who were molested study in the fourth or fifth grade. Its complaint was first made on Child Helpline number 1098. After this, the District Child Protection Department reached the school and took the statements of the female students. The matter was given to the police at the behest of the Child Protection Department.
