Himachal: Dense fog has been looming over the plains of Himachal Pradesh since this morning. Due to fog, visibility has dropped to less than 50 meters in many areas of Baddi in Solan district, Pandoh in Mandi, BBMB area, Bilaspur, Una and Hamirpur district. Due to this, drivers are facing problems.
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert due to dense fog in Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra and Mandi districts today and tomorrow. Along with fog, cold winds are also troubling people in these districts. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued an alert of cold wave in these plain districts.
Weather will be clear today and tomorrow
According to IMD, the weather will be completely clear in the state today and tomorrow. The weather will change at midnight tomorrow. Due to Western Disturbance becoming active, there are chances of rain and snowfall from January 11. On this day, there will be snowfall in the higher parts of the state and rain in the lower areas.
Temperature rises before rain and snowfall
Avvording to forecast, weather will remain bad on January 12. Due to this, light snowfall may occur in the higher areas on this day as well. At the same time, there has been a rise in the maximum temperature before rain and snowfall. The mercury of Kangra has reached 21.1 degrees with 5.1 degrees more than normal.
Shimla has reached 14.6 degrees with 3.3 degrees more than normal, Bhuntar has reached 20.2 degrees with a rise of 4.1 degrees. Similarly, the temperature of other cities has also become more than normal.
Atal Tunnel Rohtang also restored
At the same time, after the sun has shone for the last three days, Atal Tunnel Rohtang has opened for small vehicles after two weeks. Due to this, tourists have started reaching Atal Tunnel and a large number of tourists are reaching North Portal, Sissu and Jalori Pass to see snow.
Due to snowfall last week, 27 roads are still closed in the state. Most of these are closed in Lahaul Spiti and Kullu district.
