Bharmour, June 14: Today morning, a whole mountain collapsed on the road in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh. Fortunately, no vehicle came under its grip. People present on the spot sensed the danger and stopped the traffic. After this, the mountain fell on the road in no time. Someone made a video of it, which is now becoming increasingly viral on social media.
This landslide happened on Basu Kundi Sunara road of Bharmour assembly constituency of Chamba district. After the hill fell, dust kept flying for four to five minutes. The debris of the hill fell into the drain about 500 meters below the road.
The road is closed to vehicles
According to the information received so far, there is no loss of life or property. People present on the spot are running around and alerting people below the hill. This averted a major accident. After the landslide, the road has been blocked for vehicles. The administration has appealed to the local people to travel through an alternate road.
Usually, such landslides occur in Himachal due to heavy rains during the monsoon. But in Bharmour, this slide happened before the rains.
