Shimla, June 21: Heavy rain is forecast in some parts of Himachal Pradesh with the entry of monsoon. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in 7 districts Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Kangra, Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur for tomorrow (22 June).
In view of this, tourists including local people have been advised to stay away from waterlogged areas, landslide prone areas and not to go near rivers and streams. After heavy rains, the water level of rivers may suddenly rise. Landslide incidents may occur.
Monsoon has just arrived in these places
According to the Meteorological Department, by last evening, monsoon has reached many parts of Shimla, Kinnaur, Sirmour and Mandi districts. It can reach the surrounding districts today. If the speed of monsoon remains good, it can reach the entire state by tomorrow evening.

The normal date of monsoon entry is 25 June. But this time the monsoon has arrived 5 days earlier. Earlier in the year 2000, the monsoon had reached Himachal on 9 June. In the year 2021, the monsoon knocked on 13 June.
Rain forecast in these districts today
According to the weather department, there may be good rain in Una, Hamirpur, Kangra, Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur districts even today. The weather is forecast to be clear or lightly cloudy in other districts.
Orange alert in Mandi-Kangra the day after tomorrow
On June 23, an orange alert has been issued in Kangra and Mandi districts. On this day, a yellow alert has been issued in Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur districts. On June 24, a yellow alert has been issued in Chamba, Kangra, Mandi, Solan and Sirmaur districts.
