Shimla: The office of the Deputy Director of Elementary Education located in Himachal’s capital Shimla has been sealed. The Railway Board has taken this action this morning. The Railway Management has taken this action after the decision of the CBI Court located in Chakkar, Shimla.
The office of Deputy Director of Elementary Education has been running in the Railway Board building in Chaura Maidan, Shimla for more than five decades. Since 2014, there has been a court battle between the Railway Board and the Education Department regarding possession of this.
The Education Department was not able to present documents in the court regarding possession. Due to this, the court ruled in favour of the Railway Board. After the judgment of the court, the Railway Management occupied the Deputy Director’s office. After this, the employees of the Education Department have come to the streets.
Now the Education Department is considering challenging the court’s orders in the Apex Court in this matter and legal opinion is being taken.
