Here, a father not only attacked and injured his wife, mother-in-law, and father-in-law with a knife but also crossed all limits of brutality in anger and threw his two-and-a-half-year-old son from the second floor. After this incident, the accused has been arrested, while the two-and-a-half-year-old son has been admitted to Hamirpur Medical College, and the child’s condition remains critical. According to the information, the accused, Bharat Pathania, age 34, son of Harnam Singh, is a resident of Kot Panchayat of Tehsil Tihra. He was married to Sushma Devi, age 30 years, about four years ago. Victim Sushma Devi’s father, Hem Raj, told her that after marriage, the accused used to beat his wife for about two years, due to which the victim Sushma is living in her maternal home.
On Friday, the accused Bharat had come to his in-laws’ house in Bhoor village with his parents to take his wife, but his wife Sushma refused to go, after which the accused lost his temper. Sushma’s father told him that the accused first locked his daughter Sushma and wife Kalavati in a room and attacked them with a knife, due to which they suffered neck injuries.
After this, when he came to save his daughter and wife, he also injured me. The victim’s father, Hem Raj, told him that after this, the accused crossed all limits of cruelty and threw his two-and-a-half-year-old child from the second floor, due to which the child suffered serious injuries.
After committing the incident, the accused hid in a nearby cowshed. He has been taken into custody by the local police. Sandhol police have registered a case and started an investigation. SHO Sandhol Rakesh Dhiman said that a case of attempted murder has been registered against the accused, and he has been arrested.
