Shimla: A major cyber fraud case has come to light in Himachal Pradesh, in which current Agriculture Minister Chandra Kumar’s son and former Chief Parliamentary Secretary (CPS) Neeraj Bharti has been cheated of Rs 1 lakh. The police have registered a case and started investigating the fraud committed with the former MLA.

According to the police, Neeraj Bharti had plans to go to Goa after a few days. For this, he searched for a resort online. He made an online booking at a resort named ‘Cara Villa Resort’ and transferred Rs 1 lakh online.

Later it was found that no resort of this name exists in Goa. After this, former CPS and MLA Neeraj Bharti has lodged a complaint at Chhota Shimla police station. The police have registered a case against unknown accused under Section 318 (4) of the Indian Penal Code.

Police appealed to be alert

The police have appealed to the people that cyber thugs are cheating people in different ways. There are attempts to cheat people through fake websites and advertisements.
