A pickup vehicle met with an accident in Paonta Sahib of Sirmaur late on Saturday night. The vehicle went out of control and fell into a deep ditch, in which the driver along with his companion was also riding. Both died on the spot in the incident.
In the morning, when a villager saw the damaged vehicle, he informed the police. The police reached the spot but due to the deep ditch, the bodies of both were taken out with great difficulty. One body has been identified so far, while the other body has not been identified. The pickup vehicle has also been badly damaged.
In this incident, one of the deceased has been identified as Guddu Negi son of Atar Singh resident of village Erana post office Balikoti tehsil Shillai age 25 years. While the other deceased person has not been identified yet. DSP Manvendra confirmed the case and said that the cause of the accident could not be known at the moment. The matter is being investigated.
