Police constable recruitment exam postponed in Shimla due to assembly budget session

The physical efficiency test for police constable recruitment in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh has been postponed.

Shimla: The physical efficiency test for police constable recruitment in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh has been postponed. DGP Himachal Pradesh has written a letter to SP Shimla and has given instructions to stop the recruitment process till further orders. This exam was to be held from 11 to 22 March.

No new dates announced

Actually, the budget session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly is starting from March 10. The budget session is going to continue till March 28. Keeping this in mind, the department has decided to postpone the examination. The department has not yet announced any new dates in this regard. New dates will be decided only after the budget session ends.

All preparations for the exam are complete at Bharari Ground

Recruitment is being done for 1088 posts of constable in the police department. This examination has already been conducted in many districts of the state. About 13 thousand candidates from Shimla district are going to participate in this examination. The ground test for this police recruitment in Shimla was to be held from 11 to 22 March. Shimla Police had completed all the preparations for the examination at Bharari Ground.

250 soldiers were deployed

Four ASP and DSP level officers were deployed along with 250 jawans for the examination, but now instructions have been given to stop this. Due to which now the candidates will have to wait for new dates.
