After heavy rains in Badsar of Hamirpur, the fields and barns were filled with water. This has caused damage to the maize crop. After the rain at night in Tirthan Valley of Kullu, the water level of Tirthan Khad has increased.
Rain has been continuing in Bharmour of Chamba since night. Rain has been continuing in Shimla since 7:30 am. Due to this, school children are facing difficulty in going to school. Roads and paths are flooded. The weather has become pleasant after the rain.
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in some high and medium altitude areas today. This warning has been given to Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, Mandi, Kangra and Kullu districts. Thunderstorms and storms may also occur along with rain in these districts. Heavy rains are forecast in low and medium altitude areas for June 21 and 22.
The maximum temperature dropped below normal
At the same time, heavy rains occurred in many areas including Shimla during the last 24 hours. This has caused a huge drop in temperature. The average maximum temperature of the state has fallen 0.3 degrees below normal. The temperature of many cities has dropped by 7 degrees below normal.
Chamba’s temperature drops by 7.2 degrees
The maximum temperature of Chamba has fallen by 7.2 degrees. After this the temperature here has become 30.9 degrees Celsius. Kangra, which is facing severe heat, has seen a drop of 5.9 degrees in temperature and the temperature here has become 32.6 degrees Celsius. Talking about the last 24 hours, the temperature of Kasauli has become 23.6 degrees after a drop of 5.1 degrees.
There are no signs of monsoon entry yet
There is no sign of monsoon entering Himachal Pradesh yet. Meteorologist Shobhit Katiyar said that the situation may become clear in 2-3 days. The normal date of monsoon entry in Himachal is 25 June. He said that the weather in the state will remain bad for the next 6 days. During this time there will be pre-monsoon rain.
