Shimla: The trained unemployed and students of the state are enraged over the decision of the Himachal government to recruit guest teachers. In protest against this, a large number of students gathered outside the library in Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) Summerhill Shimla today and demonstrated and demanded the withdrawal of the guest teacher policy.
Himachal Pratishthit Berojgar Sangh held a press conference in Shimla and announced to fight against this policy. The president of the Sangh, Balkrishna, said that on December 19, trained unemployed from all over the state will surround the Vidhan Sabha in Tapovan, Dharamshala.
He said that the BJP government at the center cheated the youth by bringing the Agniveer recruitment scheme in the army and now the Congress government of Himachal is breaking its promise to them by recruiting Shikshak Veer (Guest Teacher). He asserted that the unemployed will fight a decisive battle against this.
Let us tell you that Sukhu Cabinet has approved the Guest Teacher Policy. Under this, guest teachers will be paid Rs 200 per period in primary schools, Rs 250 in upper-primary, Rs 400 in senior secondary and Rs 500 per period in colleges. It is being claimed that when regular teachers come, they will be removed.
Balkrishna said that more than 8 lakh youth of the state are growing old while studying in libraries so that they can get regular jobs. However the Congress government is cheating the youth by giving jobs through outsourcing instead of regular. He said that this decision of the government will be opposed and a decisive battle will be fought against it.
